Hello!!
I was going to update on Canada Day because, well I’m Canadian haha. However I went to my BF’s cousins place, for a BBQ and everything. It was his birthday. Not my BF’s. His cousin. So yeah that was lovely, we had chicken and ribs (although I didn’t have chicken, chicken breast makes my jaw hurt). and salads. Yum! There was one salad, with random greens and pecans and some cheese, and balsamic dressing and APPLE, it was sooo good. I never would think to put apple in a salad with balsamic dressing, but the two flavours together are killer!
I finished those slippers!!! It took a while because I was busy. However they are done now, and I’m pretty pleased with them.

So here they are, on my feet. haha. They are for my mom but we have the same size feet. Hopefully she likes them They are also for Christmas, so it’s a while before she will see them. Yeah, I’m clearly getting a head start on Christmas this year. So now I have started knitting myself a nice light scarf. It’s called “Clapotis” and it’s going to be amazing I think. *fingers crossed*
I GOT PAID!!! haha. Finally. And I bought a new skirt today. It’s olive green (I’d take a pic but I’m lazy) and it has kinda polka dot bumps in the fabric, and it’s got pocket (I adore pocket in skirts and dresses) and it’s just beautiful. I love it. It was on sale as well. I love a good sale.
Anyways I’m off to cook supper. I’ll try and update a bit more frequently coming up.

So so far my job is fab. Basically I’ve done everything I need to do for the summer and now I just get to read. haha. I just finished reading 4 Blondes by Candace Bushnell. The same author who wrote Sex and the City. Meh. It was alright. Pretty graphic. A lot of sex. Which is fine, I’m not a prude or anything (although sometimes I think I am :p) But I don’t know, I just wasn’t that into it. So now I’m reading One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Which is proving to be a much better read. haha. I love the cover of the book. I’m not posting a picture haha. Oh and I’m knitting slippers!!! For my mom. They are very cute, although I’m kinda not looking forward to sewing the top to the bottom. haha. Picture!!

I was intending on putting up a new layout, but that fell through. I still kind of like this one a lot! So another time.
So 1 of my 2 very good friends actually left in the city is leaving tomorrow for the entire summer. Not too impressed with that. haha. So now it’s only myself and Pamela. Everyone else goes home for the summer, except us haha.
Oh something that is very exciting (well for me, because I’m a nerd) happened this week. My university has the Fall Course Offerings up. I don’t register until July but I have my courses picked out. I’m doing Biochemical Regulation, Advanced Nutrition and Disease, Microbiology, Phys Act. Obesity & Weight Control *so excited for this one, I’m obsessed with everything about obesity* & Forensic Psychology. Ahhhhhh. I can’t wait. I love school. Not gonna lie. And two of those courses I can do online, therefore I will have Friday’s Off. I love it when that happens haha.
Okay I’m gone!!!

So after my lovely rant yesterday. I GOT A JOB!!!. haha. I know right. I got a call yesterday around 2, to come for an interview. So went for the interview around 10AM this morning, and he was like when can you start. So I’m starting tomorrow. SWEET!!!!
It’s a job with the Biochemistry department of my University. Basically I do office-y stuff. Invoices and crap. And I communicate with the various professors labs and such. Loves networking. haha.
Being bitter obviously gets you somewhere haha.
Going shopping today, to get me some new work clothes. Mainly pants. I have to wear pants because I might have to work with chemicals. I LOVE CHEMICALS!!! haha. *is a biochem nerd* Anyways I own a lot of summer work clothes, but it is mostly skirts and dresses. So pants are needed.
Yup so that’s all my news over the past 24 hours. Just wanted to update.
HAPPINESS

Ugh I’m soooo very over everything right now. I’m just dull at the moment and it’s very frustrating. Still no job. I’m getting a complex. For real. I’m qualified I know I’m qualified, it’s a summer job, seriously. I’m qualified. My bestfriend Zack is in the same boat. We’re both in Biochem-Nutrition. We’re both 3rd years. We both have work experience *good work experience. not like mcdonalds work experience, McDonalds is a great place to start for anyone who works there, it’s just not for me.* Anyways we both have lots of volunteer work, lots of extracurriculars. Seriously. We’re qualified. Yet nobody wants us. Like seriously, without sounding cocky I’m really really shocked. I just don’t get it. Ugh.
Okay rant over.
I have pictures of my knitted goods. haha. I look like such a douche in the picture of the hat (which is too small, well actually my head is unnaturally large). And I am very very pale. But I burn really bad (pretty much a red head) so I don’t fair well with the sun. Love sunscreen! I’m also not into skin cancer. lol. I’m also very self conscious so I had to explain that.

Yup so thats my knitted stuff. That’s what I do while being un-employed. Lots of fun.
I babysat for my uncle last night. My two cousins, one is 9 and the other is 8 months old haha. They are great though. And I get paid very very well haha.
Ummm yeah. I actually have nothing else to say. My life is very dull. Ohhh I’m finally catching up on Gossip Girl. Not making me too happy at the moment. But I know it all ends well.

I love a bit of productivity.
So I am still jobless. Ugh. It’s really starting to stress me out. But every job I have applied for they haven’t even started interviewing yet. Seriously. Get on the ball people. I need a summer job before I go insane. 2 Months of doing nothing but cleaning, reading, going for walks and internet stuff would drive anyone crazy. Oh and I’m doing a Course this summer. It is called Stress Management. I definitely need to learn some of that shiz.
Has anyone watched WALL-E?? That movie is so sweet! I cried for pretty much the entire time that it was on. I want a WALL-E. So cute.
Oh and I started Knitting a hat! It’s a touque and granted, it’s not really touque weather but it will come again. Although I don’t really want to think about that day. I really really want to knit a slouchy beret. Because everyone has them, but I can’t find one that fits me right because I have a large head. It really sucks too because hats NEVER fit me right.
Anyways I’m going to go read Marketing to my BF. haha. Yes he can read, I just like reading out loud to him because I have nothing better to do and he isn’t doing Business. Just a business course this summer so he doesn’t have to do 9 courses in the fall *ouch*. I only ever have to do 5, but the degree he is doing requires 6-9 courses each semester. Ridiculous!
